I think unknowingly everybody’s heard ambient pads in modern-day music production and songwriting. But I bet most people don’t even notice them. This raises the question: How can these pads have such a massive impact on our listening experience?

Creating ambient pads is easy. Especially when the sound design is done with reverb. But done right these ambient layers create so much depth and emotion that you will never want to do without! In fact if you follow these 5 steps you can start to create music in no time.

In this video I will create an atmospheric ambient pad with reverb (Valhalla Room), EQ, Native Instruments Hybrid Keys and Kickstart by Nicky Romero. Apart from creating this pad I will also show some great music production tips on how to sculpt the sound.
