Scale ear training exercises and how to do them:

Learning how to sing scales by heart and being able to imagine them accurately is really an invaluable skill. Most people don’t even realize the potential! Let alone how much it can help you out. If you practice your scale ear training on a short daily basis, it is a low effort with a big result.

In my first ear training video we focused on how to sing and recognize the different intervals. But now we’re going to put them into context, which in this video is scales. Scales are also extremely important because we can already start making melodies with them, and also by stacking thirds on each scale degree we can actually even make chords. But more about that in a different video.


About ear training in general:

It is definitely not the most exciting thing in music. And even on short term you might not notice any results. But believe me that ear training will help you become a better composer, songwriter or musician.

Once you become more skilled at this, I guarantee that it will be easier to write music or play along with other people on the spot. It will free up your mind and let you focus on things that really matter. Which is the intention of the music and what you want to do with it!
