What I’ve Learned From This
After creating my latest chord progression tutorial I asked myself the question ‘How do I write a melody to this?‘. A second question that arose was ‘Should it be jazz?‘.
The second question made me uncomfortable because Jazz is not my strength. But the chord progression was just begging me to at least give it a try.
What made this a ‘failed attempt‘? As one of the commenters on the video pointed out especially the rhythmic feel is missing the jazz finesse.
This test proves to me once more that each musical style takes a lot of practice.
